1. Information Collection
FocusIsle (hereinafter "the App") respects and protects your privacy. The App is a locally running focus timer and task management tool designed with the principle of minimizing data collection.
Information We Collect:
- Focus Session Data: Your focus duration, session count, associated tasks, focus diary entries, and goals — all stored locally on your device
- Task Data: Task names, descriptions, priorities, due dates, projects, sub-tasks, notes, and recurring task settings — all stored locally on your device
- App Preferences: Timer settings, reminder preferences, daily goals, etc., stored locally on your device
Information We Do NOT Collect:
- Personal identification information (name, email, phone number, etc.)
- Device identification information (device serial number, etc.)
- Geolocation information
- Contacts, SMS, call logs
- Photos, videos, files or other media content
Core Commitment: The App does not require user account registration and does not collect any personal identification information. Your focus data and task data are fully under your control and stored locally on your device only.
2. App Permissions
The App only requests the minimum permissions necessary for normal operation. Below are the permissions and their corresponding usage descriptions:

All permissions can be revoked at any time through your iPhone's Settings app. Disabling notifications will stop timer-end reminders but will not affect core timer functionality. Disabling background modes may cause the timer to become inaccurate when the app is in the background.
3. Local Data Storage
All core data of the App is stored locally on your device (iOS app sandbox directory):
- Focus Records: Duration, date, associated tasks, focus diary entries, and timer mode for each session, stored in a local database
- Task Data: Tasks, projects, sub-tasks, notes, recurring rules, and completion status, stored locally
- Goals & Streaks: Daily goals, streak counts, and progress data, stored locally
- Settings & Preferences: Timer configuration, goals, reminder settings, etc., stored locally
Important: Since all data is stored locally on your device, if you uninstall the App or delete app data in iPhone Settings, all focus records, tasks, diary entries, and settings will be permanently lost and cannot be recovered.
4. Network Data Transmission
The core features of the App work without an internet connection. The network is only used for:
- Ad Loading: Loading ad content through the Google AdMob SDK
- Anonymous Usage Analytics: Collecting app usage statistics via Google Analytics for Firebase (anonymized, see Third-Party Services section)
- Crash Reporting: Automatically uploading crash logs via Firebase Crashlytics to help improve app stability
The App does not upload your focus records, tasks, diary entries, or any locally stored content to any server.
5. Third-Party Services
The App integrates the following third-party SDKs/services:
5.1 Google Analytics for Firebase (App Analytics)
- Purpose: Collects anonymized app usage statistics to help us improve the product experience
- Data that may be collected: Device model, OS version, screen resolution, language, app launch count, session duration, feature usage frequency, crash data, Firebase Installation ID

5.2 Firebase Crashlytics (Crash Reporting)
- Purpose: Automatically detects and records app crash events
- Data that may be collected: Crash stack traces, device model, OS version, memory status, installation UUID

5.3 Google AdMob (Ad Service)
- Purpose: Displaying ads in the free version
- Data that may be collected: IDFA (Identifier for Advertisers), device info, IP address, ad interaction data
- About IDFA: You can restrict IDFA access via iPhone Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. You can also reset or disable personalized ads in iPhone Settings > Privacy & Security > Apple Advertising.

6. Your Rights and Choices
- Limit Ad Tracking: iPhone Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking
- Disable Personalized Ads: iPhone Settings > Privacy & Security > Apple Advertising
- Manage Notifications: iPhone Settings > Notifications > FocusIsle
- Delete Local Data: Long-press the app icon and select "Remove App"
7. Children's Privacy
The App is suitable for users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. No registration, no social features, no user-generated content shared with others.
8. Data Security
- All data stored in the iOS app sandbox, inaccessible to other apps
- No personal identification information collected or stored
- Third-party SDK transmissions use HTTPS/TLS encryption
9. Data Deletion
- Uninstall: Long-press app icon > Remove App
All local data will be permanently deleted upon uninstall. Deletion is irreversible.
10. Privacy Policy Updates
We may update this policy from time to time. Updated policy will be published within the App or on this page. Continued use indicates agreement with the updated policy.
